Dragon Con 2015 Performances, Rachel Hair Trio, New Website / CF#41

#41-Dragon-Con-2015-Performances,-Rachel-Hair-Trio,-New-Website

I'm getting ready to head off on a family vacation. But I have a lot of news that needs to be shared before I head out.

We are two weeks away from the largest science fiction convention in the world–Dragon Con. I'm performing all weekend with Brobdingnagian Bards. However, I have a few extra shows of my own, including a Firefly Drinking Songs show and a Pub Songs Podcast Live show that will also be streamed live online.

My website is redesigned and I have a new podcast audio host. Plus, the Celtic Invasion of Cornwall is just about on a waiting list.

Celtic Artist Highlight

Band: Rachel Hair Trio
Year Released: 15th June 2015 (pre release for now!)
Hometown: Glasgow, Scotland
Description: One of Scottish folk music's most recognised, much-loved bands, The Rachel Hair Trio are renowned for their strong melodies, earthy songs and majestic instrumental flair. Driven by the charismatic playing of harpist and Highland composer Rachel Hair, the Trio is completed by elegant double bass from Cameron Maxwell and strong rhythm and vocals from singer-guitarist Jenn Butterworth. Harnessing their repertoire from traditional, contemporary and international sources, the Trio present live performances that ooze charm and skill with entertaining prowess.
Personal Fact: While rehearsing for the album Cammy (double bass player) got a new puppy. Cue chaos during rehearsals… he lasted half a set in the room with us. Chewing our feet, our notebooks, our instruments… you name it!

You can find all of his and more in our website at marcgunn.com/celtfather041.

To subscribe, go to iTunes, or go to Celtfather.com where you can also join my mailing list to download a free album. This show is sponsored by my Patrons at marcgunn.net. You can support my music, podcasts, and videos for as little as $1 per month. Post feedback in the shownotes, use the hashtag #celtfather on social media, or email me marc@marcgunn.com
