Celtic Empire overview for November and December 2015

It's time for an update of all the things I am working on right now. On my drive back home from the Louisiana Renaissance Festival, I discuss my projects and the new things coming down the pipeline! Learn more about what's new with my music and podcasting in the past few weeks and what's to come.

Here's some of what you can look for:

  • Kilted Kings at the Louisiana Renaissance Festival (LARF)
  • Playing traditional Celtic music
  • New version of “God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman”
  • What are my most-popular songs?
  • Going from the comedy to serious music
  • “Name On My Soul” getting a new requests on CD every weekend
  • Sci Fi Conventions are my base!
  • Kids getting sick as I tour
  • Irish & Celtic Music Podcast
  • Celtic Christmas Podcast
  • Celtic Christmas app? Will it happen this year?
  • USB Pre-Amp is fried
  • New YouTube videos
  • Celtic Music Spotlights
  • What do you think of The Celtfather audio blog posts?

I had an amazing time performing at LARF and getting to branch out into some more traditional music and my new song Name on my Soul – this is rapidly becoming one of my most-requested songs, and I'm excited about the possibilities there! Usually, my strongest base of fans stems from Sci-Fi and Fantasy, which is awesome, but means that I rarely get to branch away from geeky drinking songs, so this was a breath of fresh air!

With the holidays around the corner, several podcasts are requiring my attention, especially the Celtic Christmas Podcast (look out for four episodes). I'm planning on wrapping up all of my podcasts for the end of the year, and will post several blogs, as soon as Melinda is able to edit them!

Touring is taking a pretty heavy toll on me and my family, as the kids are getting sick, but hopefully some time off in December will give us all a chance to recover. But that being said, I'm excited about where my work has come from, and the opportunities arising for 2016 – I wish you all the best over the holidays! Slainte!
