“Funny. Sexy Songs. Oh my… Is it warm in here – or is it just me? Gunn will heat up your blood with this devilishly funny collection – sure to elicit the many naughty giggles and blushes promised by the title. A sure bet for fans of sexy Scotsmen (like Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series), beer, filk and cats.”

– Melissa McCauley on Kilted For Her Pleasure

Hey there,

Gunn FamilyWell, it's official. Heather Kenzie Gunn was born on October 27, 2010. She weighed 7 lbs 6 ozs and was 19.5 inches long. She is Beautiful. And I don't think I'm biased in saying that at all. I mean everyone is saying the same.

The sad thing is that Kenzie was born with a congenital heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia. I'm no good at explaining the details, but it means that she will undergo several surgeries in her lifetime. The first one was on Monday.

I am happy to say that the first surgery was a success. Now we are patiently waiting for her to heal so we can bring her home. The next will be in 6-12 months. So keep your thoughts and prayers out there for Kenzie.

Thank you!

Important Changes to the Newsletter

You may note that the format of this newsletter has changed. I had a few problems with emails reaching fans via Reverbnation, so I moved everyone back to my old list-server so that you will more easily receive my news updates. I hope you like the format, and please let me know if you're receiving the newsletter.

Course, if you don't want to be on this list, just scroll to the bottom and unsubscribe. It's safe and I won't bother you again.

Oh! And I AM still using reverbnation for my Street Teams. So if you want to help promote my music, subscribe to that email list as well at www.reverbnation.com/marcgunn.

Louisiana Renaissance Festival Opens This Weekend

My home faire kicked off it's first weekend with a bang last weekend. This is my third year performing solo with the faire, and I lost track of how many years I've been there. But I hope you will come out and join me once again.

The first three weekends, I will play music at the Painted Badger Pub (showtimes: 11:45a, 1:45p, 4:00p) sharing some rowdy sing-alongs. The last three weekends I go guerrilla! 😉

Visit www.larf.org for details.

Save $$$ With the New Itinerary of the Celtic Invasion of Ireland in 2011

Church by TaraAre you ready to join me in Ireland? Next summer, I will once again take a small group on a dream vacation to the untapped countryside of Ireland. This is not your typical whirlwind “tour”. We will soak in and savor a small piece of Ireland and leave you with memories that will last a lifetime. The vacation takes place June 13-20, 2011.

The itinerary is newly updated with locations in Sligo and Donegal. And with the new locations comes a new, lower price. You'll save nearly $300. You just need to make your payment before January 31st.

Good food, good drink, good music! Visit www.celticinvasion.com for details.

Marc Gunn Updates on Facebook

Last month, I decided to turn Facebook into one of my primary marketing mediums. I'm spending a lot of time chatting with fans, sharing news, talking about the days events, you name it.

In fact, I even setup several pages dedicated to a few of my projects.

Some come on by and chat with me.

Help Promote Marc Gunn on iTunes

I know not everyone has access to iTunes. But I learned a new way to promote myself on iTunes this summer, and I've become a promotional fiend. Once a month, I put together a new list of some of the most-popular songs on the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast, and I ask you to rate the iMix.

Just head over to www.marcgunn.com/imix and click the links. The links should open your iTunes program where you can rate the mix. Each song on that iMix will gain popularity points on iTunes and send those songs and albums up the charts.

It's that simple. If there's a band missing, drop by facebook. Every month, I'm looking for a few suggestions from YOU!

For those NOT on iTunes, keep an eye open. I'll be doing some promotion on Amazon in the near future.

Once again, I have a voicemail number for my Irish & Celtic Music Podcast. Call 678-CELT-POD.That's 678-235-8763 and leave a voicemail comment. Tell my listeners why you enjoy the podcast.

Not sure what to say? Try “Hi, this [your name] from [your town], you're listening to the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast!”

Happy Songs of DeathFree MP3 for November: “Isn't It Grand, Boys”

An old music hall favorite that I first heard at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival. It's a great song to perform live, and it was a perfect song to lead off my album of Irish songs all about death.

New Christmas MP3: “Celtic Christmas Elf Conscription Song”

Celtic Christmas Elf Conscription SongCD Baby kicked off a new MP3 Singles program on CD Baby a few months ago. Since I couldn't pull together a full album of Celtic Christmas music, I decided instead to release a single. This one has a serious message behind it…

There are countless stories about about how English ship captains conscripted unwary people in pubs. But little is known that Santa's elves do the same with other fae around the world. Santa's elves get unsuspecting leprechauns drunk and drag them off to the North Pole to slave away in Santa's Workshop. It's a serious lesson for faery folk.

Help spread the word about this tragic arrangement and of course help me rocket my new song up the charts. It's just 99 cents. Order it at on CD Baby, iTunes, or Amazon.
