Marc Weeklies: MarcGunn.com Redesigned

There I was planning to finish a CD when I got an email from Blogger saying they are discontinuing all FTP support. That's dandy, except for the last six years, every one of my websites was moved over to blogger. So things changed.

So instead of mixing my CD, I spent the last week redesigning my websites. Namely MarcGunn.com and CelticMusicPodcast.com. I migrated both into WordPress, a program that makes it easy to manage websites. The sites look great and are mostly up and running. The next big one is the Celtic MP3s Music Magazine which is a vast website that will work great under WordPress. I might even be able to add more cool stuff if things go really well. We'll see.

In the meantime, I still have a lot o'work to do. So drop the new websites when you get a chance. My homepage is now mobile ready too. So if check it out on your phone. It looks pretty cool there as well and loads fast. W00t! Now back to parades or web editing or mixing… Too much to do.

Oh and Happy Mardi Gras!

Listen to the Song of the Month: “Gypsy Rover” from The Bridge

This Week:

Quote of the Week: “I don't understand why Cupid was chosen to represent Valentine's Day. When I think about romance, the last thing on my mind is a short, chubby toddler coming at me with a weapon.” Author Unknown

CD of the Week: Things That Never Added Up to Me by Al Grierson. This is one of the favorite albums in my collection. Unfortunately, it's not easy to get ahold of any more. Austin-based Canadian singer/songwriter Al Grierson passed away in 2000. Before he did, he recorded this brilliant folk CD. Worthy of anyone's collection.

New Videos: Won't You Come With Me?” by Marc Gunn. Did you get to see my music video? It's the only one I've officially released and a fun favorite based on my song from Happy Songs of Death.

Promotion of the Month: American Celtic Music iMix on iTunes. It features a bunch of Celtic American groups like yours truly. Your review will help me to climb the charts on iTunes. So please help out.

Celtic Invasion Vacations. I know. I know. I haven't posted details of Ireland yet. It's coming soon. So please stay tuned.
