Do you love Celtic music and culture? Do you love science fiction and fantasy? You are a Celtic Geek. Welcome to the family!

For those new or uncertain about this small, but growing group of individuals, let me lay down some details about Celtic music and culture.

• Celtic is defined as anything from the seven Celtic nations: Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Galicia, Brittany, Cornwall, and the Isle of Man.
• Those are largest geographic bases of the Celtic culture, however, Celtic culture can be found throughout the world.
• You don't have to be Celtic to love Celtic music.
• Science fiction and fantasy is found in many forms including but not limited to books, TV, movies, internet websites. 

That's my basis for what is a Celtic Geek. But when you drop by the Celtic Geek communities on Facebook or Google+, keep in mind that just because you like Celtic culture and science fiction does not mean that's the only thing you care about. So feel to talk about whatever is on your mind. Just come together and have fun!

Being a Celtic Geek means that you are different from most Celtic music fans. It means you're different from the average person attending a science fiction convention. It also means that there are other people like you who love the things that you like.
