It just doesn’t work for me…

I find myself reverting to days of old. You know. The late 2000s…

I think it was 2009 when I Marc's Musings was in full swing. I used my newsletter to keep you up-to-date with news and… musings.

The past couple o' years I changed the format. I tried to focus. One item per newsletter. Maybe two at the most.

Marketers talk about that all of the time. I believe it's a good idea, but… it just doesn't work for me.

I don't like it. I feel like I leave you less informed. Or I try to compensate with some other medium. It's just not good.

And so we revert, back to a format where I keep you up-to-date of weekly (or bi-weekly news). I did it in the last newsletter. It felt right.

And sometimes, you shouldn't do what everyone else does. You should do what is right for you.

And that's sort of what happened with the Pub Songs Podcast too..

The 2020 season is my favorite for a good decade. No. I don't get to highlight new music from other Celtic or Geek artists. But then again, I have the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast for that.

I can always talk about whatever I want to in the Pub Songs Podcast too. And I do. It's me singing songs, talking, sharing Your comments, and just having fun. I'm not sure I've solidified the format yet. But it's getting closer. It's fun, themed, personal and even has a live streaming version of the show. W00h00!

All in all, I'm feeling pretty good about this old style reformatted for a new generation of Gunn Runners.

But what do you think?
