> What are the top 5 most-famous Irish songs for you?

Kelley Durski:

1.) Kevin Barry (though that may be a Savannah thing)

2.) Molly Malone

3.) Wild Mountain Thyme

4.) Whiskey in a Jar

5.) Black Velvet Band

With honorable mentions to Beer Beer Beer, Fields of Athenry, Green Grows the Laurel, and A Stor mo Chro.

Joshua Ohmer: Most famous has to be Danny Boy, although it's not a favorite of mine. Then I'd say Whiskey in the Jar, Molly Malone… And if we can dip into modern Irish music, I'd say that The Cranberries' Zombie and probably something from U2, like Sunday Bloody Sunday should qualify as particularly famous Irish songs.

Janine Rinker: That's tough. I've only learned a few… Molly Mallone, Paddy Works on the Railway, a verse-ish of Danny Boy. I'd probably go with The Wild Rover and Whiskey in the Jar as the last two. I'd occasionally hear “They Kept the Pig in the Parlor” from my dad's family, but have to say that's an anti-Irish song.

Allan Marcotte: The Wild Colonial Boy, Bold Fenian Men, Whiskey in the Jar, Rising of the Moon and Brennan on the Moor

Matt Hughes: Wild Rover, Black Velvet Band, Whiskey in the Jar, Finnegan's Wake and Molly Malone
