We’re nearing the end of the year. I’m making lots of plans and changes to make 2023 my best year ever. It’s gonna require quite few changes. I hope you will continue to be a part of them.

DECEMBER PODCASTS
Celtic Christmas Podcast has 1-3 more episodes that will come out this year. Just depends on how much time I can make available.
There’s just one final episode of Pub Songs & Stories this year. I share a live podcast from CONjuration with stories by Blibbering Humdingers, Hawthorn and Holly and me.
The Irish & Celtic Music Podcast has four amazing episodes to be released. There’s a Celtic Stories episode where musicians will talk about the Stories behind the songs they wrote. There’s a Patron Feedback episode and a Christmas episode. Then we finish up the month with the Best Celtic Music of 2022. It’s gonna be amazing.
I also hope to publish some blogs where I highlight some of the best Celtic musicians of the year.
That’s all I have planned so far. So let’s find out…
WHAT’S COMING IN 2023
I am still working on my plans for 2023. But so far, I’m really excited about some big changes I have in store.
The biggest change with the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast is that I will be compiling all of the Celtic Top 20 polls sooner. That means, there will be bonus episodes for Patrons of the Podcast on a more frequent basis.
I’m also gonna do away with the Amazon Music playlist to focus on Spotify and possibly some live performances on YouTube.
Finally, I’m removing some of the redundancy on the Celtic podcast Patreon page.
Pub Songs & Stories will undergo a number of changes next year. The biggest is how I market it. My business cards are designed so people who want to sample my music and just click listen to the podcast. There’ll be 4-5 songs per show.
Another big change, and not just with the podcast, but with my music, is the free MP3 downloads.
I know. Free MP3s are so quaint these days. But I want to make it possible for you to more easily share my music. So in every episode, I’m gonna make a limited time digital EP available where you can download the songs in that show. I’ll include a link to the digital EP in each newsletter.
I am renaming it Atlanta Pub Songs & Stories. The name change better reflects the city I’m living and promoting myself in, Atlanta. The big challenge is finding local content to promote. But that also means I might get to interact with my community better.
And of course, my Gunn Runners Club on Patreon is still the lifeblood of my musical career. Gunn Runners will continue to get something new each and every week. That might be Pub Songs podcasts, Coffee shows, music videos that are available to everyone. However sometimes, it'll include exclusive podcasts, videos, blogs, or new songs.
I’m even planning a new digital Heroes album to giveaway.
Coffee with The Celtfather has gone great. There are only a handful of people who watch each week through Patreon. But it’s a fantastic practice session for me. I’m sharing my newest work almost exclusively there.
My Live-streaming concerts will continue as well. Last week’s show was upbeat, fun and had a lot of engagement for the 13 people who were able to make it. It was awesome!
I’m attempting to fill up my concert schedule with mostly local shows once again. But I am starting to reach out to festivals. Hopefully, I’ll get my foot into the door of more local events, including the large number of science fiction conventions that are in the Atlanta area.
All in all, my plan for 2023 is to build engagement. I want to see my local audiences grow. I want to see more people interacting and sharing events with their friends. That means I need to create something that will get you excited each and every month of the year.
Thank you for being a huge, important part of my journey. I’m so grateful for you. And with Thanksgiving just days away, let me say once again THANK YOU!
MP3 podcasts, yay! Yes, I’m antiquated but I like to have a wee little thingy to run/walk with instead of my phone, so again yay!
