- This week on Celtic Songlines we begin with the lovely voice of Niamh Parsons, Italian-Celtic band Alban Faum, Molly's Revenge, a song composed of a Welsh knight and his lover by David Crosby with Graham Nash, Máire Brennan, more beautiful harmomies with Scottish folk trio The McCalmans, Bulgarian-Celtic band Eriney, The Fureys, and a Parting Glass with Kris Colt.
AUTHOR WHO GREW UP IN LANARKSHIRE PAYS TRIBUTE TO BURNS WITH POETIC TRIBUTE
- A Wishaw-born author has paid homage to Scotland’s Bard by writing a poem of his own especially for Burns’ Day.
- Roy Graham, a university professor and former high school English teacher, who moved to Canada more than 50 years ago has paid tribute to Robert Burns with his work – “Spring for Rabbie”.

CROAGH PATRICK: A MOUNTAIN PILGRIMAGE
- Croag Patrick, also known by the nickname, “The Reek” is a well-known mountain with an interesting history—located outside of the city of Westport in County Mayo. At just over 2,500 feet, it’s a fairly decent size, and it’s also a site of pilgrimage in this area of Ireland.
- Custom has it that St. Patrick himself scaled this mountain and fasted atop it for 40 days way back in 441 AD.
