#260: Wild Geese in a Summer Storm

It's funny how when I come up with an episode title I like, the whole show seems to take on a mood that seems just like the title. That's certainly the case for the Wild Geese in a Summer Storm. Just wait til you get to the bagpipes. If that doesn't bring it home, nothing will. Great indie Celtic music from Hearthfire Duo, Andy Lamy, An Triur, Battlefield Band, Rebecca Gilbert and Kellswater Bridge, Jed Marum, Black Market Haggis, McGinty, Scottish Octopus, Mickey Coleman, The Freestylers of Piping, Niteworks, Murder the Stout, Leaping Lulu.

  1. Hey Marc! I’ve been listening on and off for about.. 4 years now?
i really enjoy the podcast, all the songs have really surprisingly good production quality compared to the indie artist here in Israel.
Id love to ask you to fulfill my 3 wishes-
1- Can u pleas link in the shownotes to any songs that have a vid on youtube?
2- can u also maybe write In the shownotes the bands and songs by the time they show?
    like
0:23 bla bla by bla bla O’Connor
    Etc
3- if you can be so kind and help recognize those two songs-
First one was Farly recently on the show, and went along the lines of
” i caused my father to drink
I pushed him over the brink
    I never stopped to think
That i caused my father to drink”
And in the next verses its his mother then his sister and brother.
Second song was here a long time ago,and went like:
    ” road road
    True road and far road
Land of the hills and the something something road”
Like they definitely said road alot and if i had to guess id say the song name is road road, but i couldn’t find it anywhere.

Huge thank you if you do any of those things, and also for keeping up the podcast for so long!

P.s sry if there are english errors it isn’t my main language
