In 1980-something, I decided it was time to transfer all of my 8-Track tapes to cassette… Wow, I am dating myself… The album was full of 50s music. I wanted to preserve it but I also didn't want to write the names of all the songs on the cassette, there wasn't enough space for that. So I decided to be a DJ.
At the time, I was listening to a lot of 80s pop radio. One of the things that annoyed me was how DJs would talk over the music. My friend Steve was the same way. So together, we put on the hats of DJs and preserved the songs as well as their names.
But of course, lost focus… And talked over songs too, either intentionally, or accidentally.
I transferred that file to MP3 last year. The recording is a lot of fun. Not only are there a lot of great songs, IMHO, but Steve and I also added our own commercials. And yes, my voice… whoa! I sound so young! 🙂
It's fascinating to think that I became that DJ I pretended to be with all my podcasts. Cool!
This is another exclusive gift for all of the patrons of my music.
