Another Kerry Pub Success

I must admit. Four hour shows are getting easier. I'm not a fan of them, in general, but I can't complain. Tonight's show at the Kerry Irish Pub went great. Well, once I got there. That was the trick.

February is Mardi Gras month. So every weekend there are parades galore and tons of people. As I drove down to the French Quarter, I realized just how true that was. I ran into a traffic standstill as we waited for the parade to pass. Fortunately, I gave myself an hour and a half to drive there, but once I saw how bad the traffic was, I turned around and drove home. I parked my car, packed up my autoharp and gear and walked to the French Quarter.

Fortunately, it's not far. It only took me 35 minutes. I even found a halfway decent corn dog to eat since I didn't do so before I left.

I got there and the show went well. There was a steady stream of people dropping in to hear my music. Even met some folks from Little Rock who I hope will be at my next Studio Joe gig once I book it. Folks from all over and still some locals too. The 3 1/2 hours kinda flew by easily with all kinds of quirky fun. Yes. It gets easier and all the more fun!
