Back in Texas This Weekend

I'm packing my bags this morning.  Friday, Kenzie and I fly to Texas for ten days.  I am performing at Sherwood Forest Faire these next two weekends.

This coming weekend is the first of the season that runs until April 1st.  I am there for the first two weekends only.  So I hope you already made your plans to come see me.

Sadly, Kenzie will not be at the faire.  Her grandparents are taking care of her while I work.  You know grandparents.  They frothing at the mouth with excitement to spend time with Kenzie.  Sorry.  It's just me. 🙂

I'm at the Horseman Stage for most the show with one show at the Elven Hill stage.  I haven't received a solid copy of my schedule yet. However, the first show of the day (at 10:30, I think) is the Irish Songs for Cat Lovers show.  I will play only cat songs.  The rest of the day be Celtic and hobbit songs.  If you're a cat lover, don't miss that first show!

Here are my shows for the weekend:

10:30 Horseman Stage “Irish Songs for Cat Lovers”
12:30 Horseman Stage
2:00 Elven Hill Stage
3:00 Horseman Stage

The one other performance I'm doing while I'm in Texas is a house concert at Grace Lutheran Church.  This is a fundraiser for the youth of the church on Friday, February 17th at 7pm.  I've done several shows there before.  The turnout gets bigger every time.  So come join me for some fun Celtic music.

I look forward to seeing you out there!

Slainte!
Marc Gunn, The Celtfather

PS.  Please consider helping out the Renaissance Festival Podcast's Kickstarter campaign that will send Matt Ledder to Sherwood as well.  We only need to raise $600 to make that happen.  If it is successful, then we'll do other faires as well.
