We had a great time in Maryland and Virginia, but I'm thrilled to be back home. I received whistle tracks from Bethany McLyr last week. The final tracks for Don't Go Drinking With Hobbits will be recorded next weekend. Almost everything else is done. All I need to do is mix the album.
With that thought, I got back to booking shows at DragonCon. I have two shows planned with the filk track and another show coming. I will also be at the art show and wandering the convention playing all day long over the weekend.
Since I've been gone so much recently, I haven't done much online. However, I did make an update to my old Lord of the Rings music website. I setup that page to promote the Brobdingnagian Bards' album Memories of Middle Earth many years ago. The links should all be good finally. I also plan to do the same for my Bilbo's Birthday Song website in the coming week.
I have a bunch of amazing sponsors for Don't Go Drinking With Hobbits. I want to thank everyone who is supporting the album. You can still hear new mixes from the album on the Pub Songs Podcast. And starting today, anyone who sponsors the album as a Guardian of the Shire will start getting pre-releases of the album.
That's the news for now. I hope you will share your love of the Best Hobbit music online by telling others about the new CD.
As for me, I have emails to respond to. Talk to you soon. Slainte!
Can’t wait until Dragoncon! We’re so happy you’re going to be doing the filk track shows!
I am on pins and needles to hear the final album. I am so excited!
