In episode #2, we meet Matt Murphy, the head chef and proprietor of The Irish House in New Orleans. When I lived there, the Irish community was fragmented and had lost its monthly meeting place. Matt Murphy revitalized the community by creating a family-friendly pub, restaurant, and a new home for the Irish. Last year, he started the first Celtic festival in years. This year it is back in force. Visit the website to find out more.
If you visit New Orleans, head uptown for the home of Irish music in Louisiana. Find out more at theirishhouseneworleans.com.
