FOLK ON FOOT: RAYNOR WINN AND THE GIGSPANNER BIG BAND ON THE SOUTH WEST COAST PATH
- Raynor Winn’s best-selling book “The Salt Path” tells how she and her husband Moth became homeless just as he was diagnosed with a terminal neuro-degenerative disease. Despite this, they set off to walk the 630 challenging miles of the South West Coast Path. The redemptive story of their dogged determination, loving relationship and close connection with the natural world made the book a best seller.
BEE FRIENDLY
- Every primary school in Ireland will receive a Save the Bees Pollinator Packso they can learn more about these important pollinators and create their own bee-friendly garden.
Each pack contains pollinator-friendly guidebooks, posters and bookmarks, plus a garden kit with flower seeds. All elements of the Save the Bees Pollinator pack have been sustainably sourced and are recyclable.
The goal of the project is to create havens for bees at each of the 3,200 primary schools across the country. And the author reports that overall, the plan is working. You can read her mid-term report here.
If one country’s commitment and action can have this powerful impact, imagine what can happen when you organize your friends, your neighborhood or your city.
You can help build a different future.
