THE UNPREDICTABLE TRAJECTORY OF IRISH FOLK MUSIC
- From traditional sea shanties in Belfast pubs to the unconventional brilliance of The Pogues, the landscape of Ireland’s musical heritage is a balance between preserving the tradition and embracing the raw authenticity of new voices

RYAN TUBRIDY RETURNS TO AIRWAVES, DELIGHTED ‘TO SAY GOODBYE TO 2023’
- “Who is this man?” asked former RTÉpresenter Ryan Tubridy of himself on behalf of his UK-based listeners as he began his new role on Virgin Radio UK on Tuesday.
- “Well, in a few words I have been broadcasting in Ireland for the last 20 years or thereabouts. Actually, it started off when I was 12 years old and reviewing books on the radio as a child, but that is going back too far. Next stop, the maternity ward,” he answered.
