ALL THE IRISH ACTS AT GLASTONBURY 2022
- GLASTONBURY 2022 is just around the corner, with the iconic festival returning to Worthy Farm on 22-26 June.
The organisers announced the complete lineup last week, with stage times now also available for festival-goers to start planning who they want to see.
As usual, there are plenty of Irish acts performing across the weekend. If you are lucky enough to be one of the 210,000 people who have tickets, here are all the Irish acts you need to know about and what stage they are playing on.
A SCOTTISH SESSION ON CELTIC SONGLINES
- This week we visit the land of the Scots and their music, traditional and contemporary, with The Whistlebinkies, Dougie MacLean, Papa Shandy, Tannas, a new generation of pipers with Piper.Alley and the Phantom Piper, aka, Jane Eisper, a bit of Burns set to music by Billy Ross and Janet Russell and Edinburgh's Old Blind Dogs.
SCOTLAND'S 2022 AWARD WINNING BEACHES
- Ahead of the Jubilee weekend (3 – 5 June), Keep Scotland Beautiful announced over 50 beaches that have been recognised with Scotland’s Beach Award.
This year is 30 years since the first two beaches in Scotland received awards – Gullane Bents in East Lothian and St Andrews West Sands in Fife and both have achieved the award consistently since then.
