Celtic Music Magazine: Thanks for Supporting Celtic Culture through Music

The Irish & Celtic Music Podcast will be back next week. In the meantime, there are a lot of other great podcasts you can check out, including this story from our companion podcast.

PUB SONGS & STORIES: WHISKEY SPIDER #236

Before you fill up a jug with whiskey, make sure you clean it out first. That’s the lesson from Band O’Brothers. Or is it? And curiosity just might kill you when you are out in the Black of space.

If you have a story to tell about a song that you love, would you be willing to record it? Drop me an email. Tell me your story!

OH! And I'm also looking for someone to help me gather more Pub Stories. Email me to find out how you can get involved.

We need your support.
Please become a Patron of the Podcast today!

If we can get 12 new Patrons of the Podcast, you'll get a two-hour Instrumental Celtic music show to fill in for those weeks like this one when I take a break.

Homeport ~ Port na Dachaigh by Sean Heely & Colin McGlynn

Bringing together all of the magic from their adventures in the U.S and Scotland, the two U.S Nationals Champion fiddlers Seán Heely & Colin McGlynn present a full length album of 10 tracks. Featuring fiddle duets, original tunes, guitar, percussion, piano, and singing in Scots Gaelic.

Edge of the Bow by Seán Heely

The Debut Album from Seán Heely. A thrilling voyage through Scotland and Ireland that takes its listener on a musical journey.

Out of the Storm by North of Argyll

Reclaim by Mishra

Mishra's new album RECLAIM is a joyous celebration of music’s ability to help us connect to each other and the natural world around us. Infectious tabla grooves underpin songs that deal with overcoming hardship, alongside soaring whistle instrumentals that capture the energy of an Irish tunes session, and more reflective songs that evoke the space and stillness of an Indian classical performance.

Like their 2019 album THE LOFT TAPES, RECLAIM was recorded almost entirely live-in-the-room, in a farmhouse in Gloucestershire. The whole-band recordings capture the interplay of their unique instrumental line up, and the energy of their collective improvisation and feel.
