What a great third week of January! Well, besides the arctic blast descending over the lands–or maybe that's all part of the fun! I know I'm enjoying the cooler air here in Texas.
If you follow Marc on one or more of his media venues (including this one), you probably already know about the release of Not Every Day is St. Patrick's Day on Thursday, January 17 (a day near and dear to my heart). I hope you will join me on Thursday as I buy myself a little birthday present–Marc's single “Nancy Whiskey”–and help propel the single up the charts on iTunes! Have a listen on YouTube to “try before you buy”–it's a great one, and a great addition to your Celtic music playlist–and then buy the song at noon CST, or any time on January 17–the closer to noon, the better!
Something else to look forward to on Thursday: as part of the CD release party, Marc will be performing two short online shows through Google Hangouts, with the first kicking off at 1 P.M. CST (7pm GMT, for the European fans) and the second at 7:30 P.M. CST. So block off an hour (or a little longer for show #2) to join the fun and hear some songs and tunes. (Don't know the difference between songs and tunes? I learned recently from Irish and Celtic Music Podcast show #26 – Feature on Vicki Swan & Jonny Dyer. I'll give you a hint: one has words!)
Check here for the details of Thursday's events.
Now, you don't have to sit idle while waiting for Thursday's excitement. For starters, you can pass the time by listening to the latest Irish and Celtic Music Podcast, Show #134 – Top 20 Best Celtic Music of 2012.
When you're finished listening to the podcast, see Marc's performance of “Zombie Love Song” on YouTube, which will be included on the next CD by the Brobdingnagian Bards later this year.
Repeat as necessary until Thursday at noon! Enjoy!
