Today is the sixth anniversary of the Renaissance Festival Podcast. While technically, it wasn't the first podcast I created (the Cat Lovers Podcast began on May 1st of 2005), it still feels like my first podcast. It's like some sort of young love, I guess–my First.
The anniversary show should be coming out in a couple days to celebrate our six years producing this podcast. I'm amazed and delighted that it's still going strong. I have a lot of great folk to thank for that.
- Kristen Roger was my first co-host.
- When I started burning out, Joe Haydu kept the show alive.
- Matt Ledder revived and reinvented the show after life caught up with Joe.
- Tony Artym is our latest hero providing news and managing the facebook page.
- John B. was integral in spreading the news about the podcast on various forums around the net.
- Stephen has compiled playlists for the show for couple years now.
- Farpoint Media has generously provided web hosting.
- Faire News has shared a lot of great news from faires around the nation.
- Shanon Smith is our newest team member, creating graphics for the show.
- And let's not forget ALL the Ren Fest Musicians who have kindly offered their music to be played on the show.
I can't tell you how many times people email me to tell me they love MY podcast. While I started the show six years ago, it's no longer just mine. It belongs to all those who've graciously been a part of it. It belongs to YOU. So thank you for listening to the show these past six years and 170 episodes. I hope you'll be with us for another sixty years and 6000 episodes.
