We ha a great week at the beach in Gulf Shores, Alabama. We ate some delicious seafood, swam in the ocean, flew kites, and hunted wild sea shells. It was a blast, in case you couldn't tell from all the fun pics on facebook.
Tonight we dive home. Sunday, we are visited by Gwen's mom with a day trip to Atlanta. Then I try to catch up on work. Doesn't look like I have much more time to promote my cd fundraiser. I'm currently about $1000 away from my $4000 goal. One of my expenses, the framed copy, was no as high in demand, so I'm really a lot closer than I expected.
That is extra awesome cuz I have big plans already in work. Well, not in work, per se, I'm brainstorming…
The Next Album
I have three albums in the works:
- Scottish Songs of Drinking and Rebellion
- another geeky album
- the Gunns & Drums album
Oh! And then there's the super secret project on my mind.
The Scottish cd is mostly recorded. Today, I got an email confirmation for one lead instrument. I also have a second I need to confirm.
The geeky album is pretty much recorded. I just need to confirm songs, and maybe add one or two.
I still have a bunch of stuff to record for the Gunns & Drums album.
The super secret one is a secret. 😉
Aside from the G&D album, I practically have two more albums in the pipeline. With any luck, I will be able to raise the money for those two CDs quickly to pay for production so I can get em to ye ASAP. If I can pull in an extra two thousand bucks, I could solidify the next release.
If not, the question becomes, should I go ahead and pre-release the next album?
I'm not sure. Guess I'll soak in the rays, wait for responses and decide.
