Good advice if there's any truth to this old song also known as “Calton Weaver”. It has such a catchy chorus. I've wanted to record it for years.

We are slowly making a dent in the budget for Celtic Music Is Freedom. We're at $735 with 27 days to go.

I need to take a moment to those 17 folks (thus far) who have helped me with this album. Releasing this album is important to me. I don't expect this album to be a Grammy-winning album. It is an album of great music featuring some great traditional Celtic songs.

Most bands who gain huge popularity write original material. They don't record an album of cover songs. I know this. I know how marketing works. In fact, I'm going against everything I know about success and prosperity in the music business by consciously releasing this album. I do it for everyone who wants to learn to play traditional Celtic music.

I created the Irish Song lyrics website to help people sing Celtic songs. It features lyrics and chords for most of the traditional songs that I sing. It's a tribute to our Celtic culture and community.

How many people found this website and used it as a tool for learning songs? I can't say, but I've had hundreds of emails by folks saying how much they appreciate the website.

When this CD is done, you will be able to listen to all the songs on this album on that website. I'll have chords to make it easy for you to learn to play the songs. All the lyrics will be listed. You can start your own music career.
