Marc Gunn at Grace Concert and Sherwood Forest Faire

Greetings Gunn Runners,

It was a cold weekend at Sherwood Forest Faire, but what a great turnout.  3800 people showed up on Saturday.  I just wish I came prepared.

Kenzie and I flew to Texas.  I tried to keep the weight down on the luggage.  I was successful, but that meant I didn't bring any cold weather clothing.  I brought a cloak, a shirt, socks, and a kilt.  Saturday, I was freezing.  Thanks to the generosity of so many people, I was able to warm up a wee bit.  Sunday, I borrowed some sweaters from my dad that was much better.

I am all warmed up now, though a little sniffly.  I'm not used to this dry weather.

My Final Weekend at Sherwood

The forecast is looking good for the weekend.  It'll be in the 60s.  That will make me happy.

However, this is also my last weekend at the faire.  I'm not sure when I will next be in Texas.  I have nothing booked at present.  So come out and join.  Let sing along together and have a great time.

Grace Concert This Friday

If you want to see me in better weather, then come out to my concert this Friday at Grace Lutheran Church.  I'll be in one of the activity rooms in the back playing music for you.  And yes, it's indoors.

Better than that, it's also a longer show.  I'm performing a two hours as a benefit for the youth of Grace Lutheran Church to raise money to attend the 2012 ELCA youth gathering in New Orleans.  Let us know you're coming out on the Facebook events page.  $10 donation to attend.

It's at Grace Lutheran Church, 708 Bluff Dr. , Round Rock, Texas.

I look forward to seeing you there.

Slainte!

I suggest Southwest for your flight if at all possible, they are awesome out there, and American’s flights out there tend to be the puddle jumpers, so you get offloaded down the staircase to the tarmac, then have to go upstairs to the terminal level to then go back downstairs to baggage claim and the exit.
