Marc Gunn Childhood Game Demos at GenCon

I don't do much gaming any more. However, once a year, I load my car and drive to Indianapolis for GenCon. There I sit at my table with my friend Toddy Wiley. When people aren't checking out my CDs, we play Magic: The Gathering. This year will be a little different.

When I was a kid I owned the Star Wars board game. I think I lost most of the pieces. So one day, I decided to make my own board game. I put construction paper over the top of my Star Wars game, drew funny boxes, turned some index cards into game cards, and voila! The game was made. See more below:

That's one of those items I just can't throw away. But what am I can gonna do with it? Well, for starters, I'm bringing it home and my family will play the game together. Then I remembered all of the new game demos at GenCon. Hey! I could do a game demo.

At present, my plan is to have a wee game demo… somewhere… sometime… at GenCon. It may be at 10am on Thursday or Friday morning when the Dealer's Hall opens… In fact, I think that might be best. Or it maybe after hours and before or after a show. Who knows. All I know is that only a limited number of people can play. I have no idea how many or how to play the game. I haven't looked at it in 30 years. So all of those other details will come later.

I hope you'll come join me for a Journey Through the Snow and/or Battle! (Boy was I creative!)

If you want to find out how the game goes, get updates (it's free).
