Marc Weeklies: Back from Italy

I am back from Italy, and I am both happy and sad. Italy is home away from home with me, but the Celtic Invasion Vacation turned it into something SO much more. I'm gonna try to put together a Pub Songs Podcast to highlight the exciting times I had. But for now, it's catch up time. And boy, is there a lot to do to catch up. Special thanks to Jamie and Katie for helping me keep the Weeklies running while I was off adventuring.

Listen to the Song of the Week: “Kitty Martin” from Live at the Cactus Cafe: Cat Songs and Celtic Music

Quote of the Week: “If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.” Henry David Thoreau

CD of the Week: “The Iron Horse: The Collection” by Lochshore. “Another best of CD from Lochshore Records, this time it is Iron Horse swinging their way through 15 tracks selected from their 6 albums and makes for a great introduction to one of the groups who forged a new path for traditional Scottish music.” Interested?

Book of the Week: To mark the 476 anniversary of Anne Boleyn's Coronation–The Secret Diary of Anne Boleyn by Robin Maxwell “An energetic, full-dress period novel, Maxwell's first, constructed from the adventures of Henry VIII's doomed second queen, mother of Elizabeth I of England.”-Kirkus Reviews.

Review these iMixes: Irish Music Hits, Irish Music Gems, and Irish & Celtic Music Podcast. I've started messing with iMixes on iTunes as a promotional tool. I could really use your help. Go post review. And if you like some of the music, pick up a copy. It's filled with some of the songs and tunes from my extensive catalog of Celtic music.
