Marc Weeklies: Happiness Is Faire

I had another fantastic weekend at the Louisiana Renaissance Festival. Every day is better than the last. Part of it is the stage show. For a long time, I've wanted to try and write my own stage show for a faire. I didn't know how. I finally decided on a Celtic Sing-Along. The show is written, and first thing every morning, I am on the Queen's Stage with a growing group of people singing songs together. It is SO much fun! I have a chance to play some of my favorite Celtic songs, including some new arrangements. Plus, I found a great way to add in a cat song into each Celtic Sing-Along.

This Week:

— Quote of the Week: “Learning to ignore things is one of the great paths to inner peace.” – Robert J. Sawyer, Calculating God.

— CD of the Week: Going for Brogue: Irish Pub Songs and Sea Shanties with an Accent by Marc Gunn. This is one of four new CDs I released this year. The name says it all. Basically, I had fun singing a bunch of my favorite Irish songs with an accent.

Marc Gunn on eBay. Yup. I posted some more stuff on eBay last week, including another Celtic Cat Wooden Mug that might be going for a bargain price. So place your bid soon. Oh! And stay tuned. I have six copies of my very first recording that'll be up there soon.

— UPCOMING GIGS.
Louisiana Renaissance Festival. I finally scored a show each day during the faire. The shows will be at 10:45am. It's a Celtic Sing-Along. There's just one show a day. The rest of the time, I am performing at the wine and whiskey tastings. I also plan to play at the front gate on Sundays. So look for me!
