Marc Weeklies: Tea in Louisiana

There's something quite quaint about tea time. Today, I was invited to tea time in Covington, Louisiana. There's a little tea house there, very cute. A group of us sat and drink our choice of teas, then walked among the shops. While this is probably an oddity in my new life, it was a neat treat.

Yes. I arrived safe in Louisiana, my new home. The move was a bit tough on the kitties, but they are doing much better now. Right now, we live not too far away from the Louisiana Renaissance Festival where I am performing for five more weekends. Then I will find my new home, hopefully in the Garden District of New Orleans, and look for a weekly gig in the area. Exciting times!

This Week:

— Quote of the Week: “Wisdom is knowing when to try harder, and when to walk away.” Kristie Davis.

— GO PRESIDENT OBAMA!

— CD of the Week: Take Root by The AM String Band. Nice mix of Celtic and bluegrass.

— Hear My Music on: Bartycast, Lurking Girl's Station

Real Men Wear Kilts is now available on CD Baby AND iTunes too! Get your copies in time for Christmas.

— Free CDs Have Arrived. My limited-edition EP arrived last week. I packed up all the CDs and hope to get the free ones in the mail tomorrow. I really appreciate everyone who provided reviews. Sadly, no more free EPs are going out. Only 100 were printed, and you missed out… for now. Keep an eye open for other chances to win.

— UPCOMING GIGS.
Louisiana Renaissance Festival. I finally scored a show each day during the faire. The shows will be at 10:45am. It's a Celtic Sing-Along. There's just one show a day. The rest of the time, I am performing at the wine and whiskey tastings. I also plan to play at the front gate on Sundays. So look for me!

— Check me out on Myspace, SoundClick, Demand a Show on Eventful, Wikipedia, Twitter, Facebook, Livejournal, Sonicbids, and DeviantArt. And if you'd like a CD…
