Marc’s Musings: Cat Music & Bog Off

How are you doing?

I lost track of how many days into quarantine we are. It's funny. I work from home most of the time. It's the school week that largely allows me keep track of time. To know what day it is. Now my days keep getting mixed up.

This week was supposed to be “Spring Break” in Atlanta. I was gonna take the kids to Texas and perform at Sherwood Forest Faire. Instead, “Spring Break” is like every other day. We're finding ways of entertaining ourselves.

As for work, I keep busy with podcasting and videos…

CAT MUSIC

The Pub Songs Podcast changed formats this year. But it's not a new format. It's an old one. Years before I started the “iPod Shuffle,” it was mostly live. I sang a song. I talked. I sang some more.

That format is back and in my opinion the podcast better than it's been in Years! Plus, I share a lot of feedback on the show. It has that feel of being in a Virtual Public House. If you haven't listened in a while, do so now. It's fun.

This week, I highlight Irish Drinking Songs for Cat Lovers. I sing, meow and tell some stories.

Listen now. And come join me in song.

FAMILY TRAVEL VLOG

We made a trip to Northern Georgia for a bit more quite time away from people. Our friends took us to The Pocket. Apparently, there's a bunch of abandoned mines up there. It is gorgeous. And I set the music to this video using “Moria” by Brobdingnagian Bards. It seemed appropriate.

The music is from Memories of Middle Earth.

Support my music. Get the Bards' album. Or shop in my store.

BOG OFF!

A few weeks back, I played “Rattlin' Bog” on Coffee with The Celtfather. I challenged Andrew McKee to a Bog Off. I think I'm finally ready to take the title of Champion of the Bog.

You can watch the show live on Facebook for Coffee with The Celtfather at 11 am Eastern / 10 AM Central on Wednesday, April 8th.

Whether I win or not, I have an internet concert scheduled for THIS THURSDAY at 8:30 PM EST.

Thank you so much for hanging out. Stay safe. Stay healthy.

Slainte!
Marc Gunn, The Celtfather
