Marc’s Musings: Free MP3, Halfway to St Patrick’s Day

Greetings Gunn Runner

I am planning an official re-release of my St Patrick's Day CD in January. The first single from the album is “Whiskey in the Jar”.  Andrew McKee, The Irish Bard added recorder to the song. I remixed the instruments that were already on it. It sounds a ton better.

The song was released a week ago. It's already getting a little bit of traction on Spotify. But what better way to spread the word than to give away the MP3.

Download “Whiskey in the Jar” here. (Subscribe to my mailing list to get free MP3s)

If you enjoy it, please share it with a friend. Or tell someone to follow me on their favorite streaming site like Spotify.

HALFWAY TO COFFEE AND ST PATRICK'S DAY

Today is September 17. We are Halfway to St Patrick's Day. That's weird to think about because my last big gigs were on St Patrick's Day six months ago. Then all of my shows dried up. Wow!

I have a few things happening to celebrate the holiday.

First, at noon, I have my weekly Coffee with the Celtfather on YouTube. This week's show is Halfway to Coffee and St Patrick's Day. I'm gonna sing less geek and more Celtic songs for this week's show. I haven't picked all of the songs I want to play. But if you have an Irish or Scottish favorite that you'd like to hear, email me now.

You can watch the show here.

Second, in this week's Irish & Celtic Music Podcast I highlight the women playing Celtic music in Halfway to Celtic Women of St Patrick's Day. There are so many amazing women playing Celtic music. They definitely don't get the credit they deserve. So I draw attention to some of them.

You can subscribe to the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast here.

And finally, I have a gig tonight at Tucker Brewing Company. The show is from 6:30 – 9:30 PM ET. I like this venue because it is outdoors. I have a covered stage. They have half the tables they normally do during the year. So it's easy to social distance. And of course, I love the beer. My favorite is their Radler. Soooooo yummy!

CATS ‘N CELTS USB

You can now own all of my albums from 1995 until 2010 all on one USB. Cats ‘n Celts features 12 full-length albums, including all of my Cat CDs and some of my pre-Celtic music recordings.

This is a great way to own my music if you don't like CDs and want a physical recording of some sort. Each song is maximized at 320 kbps. And of course, if you ever wondered what my music sounded like BEFORE Celtic times… you can find out.

Oh! And if you use your coupon code thankyouceltfather
…you'll save 15% on your USB or anything in my store.
