Marc's Musings

Greetings Amici,

Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday!

I am getting ready to fly back home for Christmas. Then peace, joy and goodwill to all men… and women… or something like that.

It snowed in Louisiana last week, so I've been in the Christmas mood, catching up on my favorite seasonal movies. Now I'm all psyched for the holiday. Plus, I now have an apartment in the Lower Garden District of New Orleans. What a lovely way to start the season.

MARC'S MUSIC NEWS
Guess what?

I recorded a Brand new song!

Okay. This time I actually did. Well, sorta. While I was snowed in last week, I came up with an interesting concept for a song–Christmas Elf Conscription. The idea is largely based on “Arthur McBide”, except it is about a leprechaun who gets conscripted by Santa's elves to work his workshops for the season.

I was so excited when I finished writing the song yesterday, I recorded an a capella version. You can download it if you are a member of the Sunset Connoisseur's Society, which is still free to join until Christmas.

MARC GUNN LIVE!
Now that I finally have a place to live in New Orleans, I am back at trying to book some gigs. If you have some venue suggestions, please read this, then contact me.

Oh! And don't forget to sign up at eventful.

CELTIC CHRISTMAS SPECIAL
The Celtic Christmas music special of the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast is complete. It's a doozy. Plus, there are two Christmas specials of the Cleveland Celtic Podcast. And past shows. Hopefully, that'll give you a ton of great Celtic Christmas music to enjoy for the holiday.

Here's wishing you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Slainte!
