Marc's Musings Greetings <:firstname:>, YES! I finished writing the last songs for my "Irish Drinking Songs for Cat Lovers" CD. It has a lot o'inside jokes, methinks, but it's still pretty amusing. If you watched Red Dwarf, I think you will be pleased with this CD. Invited to Attend the Austin Music Awards Well, this is a hopeful sound. Andrew and I were invited to attend this Austin Music Awards on March 16. I think it will be broadcast in Austin. So watch it. God willing, we might've won an award in the Austin Music Poll! Fan Lends a Helping Paw I was quite blown away today. I got a call from my friend Emilee who lives up in Oklahoma. She told me she was visiting a PetSmart with friends when something odd caught her eye. It was a flyer... For Irish Drinking Songs for Cat Lovers! I could hear her bouncing up and down on the phone as she told me. I admit I couldn't help bouncing myself a wee bit, and since I wasn't wearing my kilt, it was safe. ;) I want to thank you who took the time to post that flyer. That really means a lot to me. I wish it was easier to make a difference with music. The simple fact is that while it might make an individual difference, often times people don't share it with their friends, but word-of-mouth is what is gonna make this CD happen. So to whoever posted that flyer, thank you! --- Drop me a line and let me know how you're doing. Slainte!
Marc's Lyrics & Poetry The Mining Ship the Red Dwarf (parody of The Bonnie Ship the Diamond) It's taken me over a year "research" this song (boy, if research were like this in college...). At long, I finish it. The song is a parody of the Scottish song, "The Bonnie Ship the Diamond." It tells the story of the "coolest" character on the British TV show "Red Dwarf." Course, it was written for my "Irish Drinking Songs for Cat Lovers." The mining ship the Red Dwarf --chorus-- I'll have one fish for my breakfast. If the despair squid gets his way Here's a health to my man Ace Rimmer I'm gonna get you little fishies ---
