Marc's Musings Greetings <:firstname:>, This was a busy month. Excalibur Fantasy Faire, recording for my Irish Drinking Songs for Cat Lovers single, finishing up the Brobdingnagian Fairy Tales, plus work. I'm pretty tired, but excited to be nearing the end of part one. Sorry I've been vacant. Just not enough time to manage all the websites and ezines I have to work with. I don't think I've even written a poem for nearly a month. But my creative outlet is overflowing in other ways. For instance... Start Promoting the CD with Cat Drinking Song T-Shirts, Bumper Stickers and Posters I setup a new shop at Cafepress with cat promotional products. All of the profit from these items will go towards the final production of the CD. Oh! Last night, Ari Koinuma, my producer, and I set a deadline for completing the full-length CD. We plan to finish it by August 1st. That means it should be available to you by September with and official CD release in October. Now I just need to finish raising money for the CD. You can help when you adopt a CD. Plus, you will also receive some free gifts like a pint glass, t-shirts, and more. I also have a two more of my limited-edition (6 only) black Soul of a Harper t-shirts (size large). Visit the website for details. Help Me Pick the Songs for the Final Cat CD Now that I'm starting to decide what to record for the final CD, I want to get your input on what songs you would like to see on the final CD. I can only add nine more songs. So I want to pick the best. Please vote for your favorites here. Lots of Gigs Coming Up The last weekend of Excalibur approaches. If you haven't made it out, I would love to see you this weekend. Or catch us in New York, College Station, or Denver in the very near future. DOH! I just noticed I forgot to tell you, "thank you!" The Brobdingnagian Bards won Best Performing Novelty Band in the Austin Music Awards, and Nancy e. Pearsall and I won Best Cover Art. --- Many purrs and drop me a line if ye get a chance. Slainte!
Marc's Lyrics & Poetry Raggle Taggle Tomcat 'O Wouldn't you know that someone named Cat would submit a song for my Irish Drinking Songs for Cat Lovers CD. This one is a parody of the traditional Irish song, "Raggle Taggle Gypsy" about some tomcats who catnap... or kidnap, rather, a tabby who doesn't want to go home. There were three old tomcats Well it was upstairs, Well it was late that night Well saddle for me, my plush car seat Well he rode east and he rode west Oh how could you leave your warm kitty bed Oh what care I for my plush kitty bed, ---
