Marc's Musings Greetings <:firstname:>, Well, we're back from another year at AggieCon. I must say this year was better than the last. Our audiences were doubled as were our CD sales. We made some new fans and friends and renwed old ones. That's one of the things I love about being a musician--all the wonderful people that I don't have a chance to meet while sitting in front of my computer 40 hours a week. It is such a pleasure. Now we have a few weeks off. I have the final stages of my day job to deal with and then comes the Irish Dragoon Pub and Opus Fantasy Arts Festival (in Colorado). Before I know it, I'll have more time to focus on music and performing around the nation and world. Thank you for being a part of my adventure. Poetry Book Is Done! At long, long last... sheesh! When did I star this thing? Three years ago? I know I'm not the greatest poet in the world, but poetry is such a brilliant way to express myself. I write about what I know, what I love, and what I feel. It gives me the opportunity to open up my soul, sometimes cryptically sometimes pinning my heart out on my sleeve. To actually release a full book of poetry is quite astounding and scary. It's no longer just something that disappears into the digital world when you turn off your computer. It's something that you can put on your shelf and read at your leisure... for better or worse. I won't ask you to buy my poetry. I just ask you to read a poem. If it inspires you, tell a friend. Marc's Lyrics & Poetry To the Untuned Ear (I Speak a Strange Language) Like many, I feel like it is very rare to meet someone who understands the gibberish we speak. We cling to the desire to be unique and mysterious and different. Perhaps none of us are Really all that different, but this poem attempts to shed light on my own challenges in finding someone who speaks my language. To the Untuned Ear, I speak a strange language. It's like something out of "Blade Runner" It's a mixelplit of languages It's not a language any Normal person speaks. It can sound like madness, Yes, it is a strange language. I won't folly to say But I will speak ---
