Marc's Musings Greetings <:firstname:>, I should so be asleep right now. But I just couldn't last night. Maybe I was too excited from playing some killer shows at ArmadilloCon and a wild new Brobdingnagian Minute, the Brobdingnagian Bards' new podcast. Maybe I was just too excited about the Lord of the Rings extended edition marathon at Alamo Drafthouse. What hoped to be an eight-hour night's sleep, turned into a five hour night's sleep. Well, lack of sleep is nothing new. I did that a lot when I was working two jobs. I'm just happy tomorrow I can catch up. Bards in Georgia and Florida Andrew and I are returning to DragonCon. On the way back, we're performing at a few house concerts in Georgia and Florida. If you would like to hear us perform music in an intimate setting, keep an eye on Brobdingnagian Bards shows list for details how you attend. Speaking of shows, if you want to catch a small sample of what our shows are like, we have now entered the podcasting world. We've released three podcasts. And another one will be up tomorrow. The latest have a few live performances. Visit our website for details. Irish Drinking Songs for Cat Lovers Is Done I just finished listening to the final version of the CD. My producer, Ari Koinuma, did an amazing job putting this together. It's a bit later than I hoped, but at least it's done. Now I just need to send it off to the printers which is what I'll be doing this week. Keep an eye on your email if you pre-ordered the CD. I plan to release the album digitally to those who pre-ordered the album. You will be able to download the enitre album from the website, including a song that I was unable to add to the final product. It won't be until the end of this week before I am able to send the CD to the printers. So if you want to be included in the linear notes, go to the website and adopt the album now. --- If you have a free moment, please drop me an email and say, "mreow!" Slainte!
Marc's Lyrics & Poetry Catnipping Green This cat song is based on the Irish folk song, " Fiddler's Green". It tells the story of a cat dreaming about the afterlife, a sorta heaven for cats with milk and catnip and all the luxuries a cat could possibly enjoy. Look for it on my Irish Drinking Songs for Cat Lovers CD. As I roved on outside one evening so fair, Wrap me up in a fresh bed of catnip. Now Catnipping Green is a place I've heard tell, When your locked up inside, and your humans leave too, Where there's plenty to climb and no vets to impale, Well maybe a neck rub, then I'll leave for the green. And other cats will sniff the catnip on my paws, Then meow as they pounce on me singing this song. ---
