How're things? Wow! It's been a while since I last wrote. I need to stay on top of that more. But with as many podcasts and ezines as I have to do, I hope you'll forgive me.
Speaking of podcasts, let me start by sending out a special thanks to everyone who listens to the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast. Not only is it the most-popular Celtic podcast online, but yesterday, it climbed to #2 on the music podcast charts, and #22 of ALL podcasts on iTunes. That is an incredible honor, but it is because of all my listeners that it is possible at all. So thank you. I can't wait until St. Patrick's Day. We're gonna blow the roof out on iTunes!

NEW MUSIC AND CDS
Aside from podcasts, I've been pretty lazy recently. I was hoping Andrew and I would finish Real Men Wear Kilts, but it's no where near being finished. That's one reason I like having Ari Koinuma producing my cat CDs. He's been coming over to record my "Irish Drinking Songs: A Cat Lovers Companion". This an album of all the original Irish songs that I parodied on "Irish Drinking Songs for Cat Lovers". I think I might finish it by early March. Course, I was also hoping to finish recording some love songs for another solo CD of original romantic ballads. But that too is just creeping along.
However, if you are looking for some fresh new music? I started something new with my Pub Songs Podcast. I am recording my live shows and posting them for free in the podcast.
Most recently, I was in Oregon and recorded one that was in front of a live audience. You can not only download that show the podcast, but make a small donation and download the individual MP3s. That's part of my commitment to offering great music and sharing my art.

MYSPACE, SOUNDCLICK, AND YOUTUBE
A lot has happened with my music on the net over the last few months. Myspace recently opened up a Celtic charts. And yours truly, Cat Lover Marc Gunn, spends most of my time at #1 on the indie label charts, followed closely behind by the Brobdingnagian Bards. That info is compiled by your listens and visits to the site. So I hope you'll go over there and friend me now if you haven't already.
SoundClick too has made a number of positive changes. It is by far THE place to go find and download great independent Celtic music. And now they're building up communities. You can even make your own MP3 radio station and listen to my music all day long.
I finally started a YouTube account in December to post a couple o'videos I had lying around. Now I'm getting more and more sent to me and up they go. Most recently I had one from a my house concert in Oregon and another from a cat show up there.
So thank you for continuing to listen and enjoy my many endeavors online. I hope you will continue to listen and enjoy my music and tell your friends.

Marc's Lyrics & Poetry Tiziano Gunn

In my first cat CD, Irish Drinking Songs for Cat Lovers, I felt like I had a song for Jasper and a song for Torre, but no real song FOR Tiziano, my other tabby cat. Lyrics came to me based on the Irish song, "Old Fenian Gun" that just seemed to cool to miss. Since I was thinking of releasing a CD of love songs, I thought I might add this to that CD. Thus, it is a love song for a cat.
He climbed up on the fire place.
His fur was black and brown.
The mantle warm he rest his head
On paws and looked around.
His eyes they closed slowly saying,
"I'll nap until I'm done.
When I awake I'll meow for you,
Because I'm Tiziano Gunn."
I watched him sleep and ooed and awwed
As his ears twitched off to sleep.
I saw his body slowly rise
And fall without a peep.
Then his eyes shot open at a sound
Looking 'round he shifted his tum,
"Would you stop staring while I sleep
Because I'm Tiziano Gunn."
I remember when he first came to me.
His brother and he were scared.
Tiziano learned the art
Of opening drawers with this nails.
Inside the bathroom counter drawers
He hid and my head spun.
Ah well, I guess he's an opposable thumb
That's my Tiziano Gunn.
When strangers knock upon my door,
He runs to my room in surprise.
The dresser drawers he opens up
With my underwear he hides.
If that's not safe enough he'll close
The drawer he's so frightened.
How he does it? I'm not quite sure.
He's my Tiziano Gunn.
I throw a ball he brings it back.
You'd think he was canine.
But you can't mistake his high-pitched "mew"
When he wants to play with twine.
If he had his way, he'd lick my hand
Till it was red and all swollen.
But I saw "The Truth About Cats and Dogs"
So I stop Tiziano Gunn.
I walked up to the mantle
And petted his soft back fur.
His butt it rose like escalator
I could hear him start to purr.
His eyes opened. His tail it swished.
His nose it met my own.
Then his happy tail knocked a candlestick down
That's my Tiziano Gunn.
The minutes pass, he's purring now
As I hold him in my arms so close.
He squiggles free and jumps on down
In a basket of my clean clothes.
He circles in the laundry,
Finds a space on my linen.
His eyes they close to sleep again
How I love Tiziano Gunn.
