I launched tickets for the next Celtfather Live show on Monday. This one is Browncoat themed.

Every month, I offer a free online concert. It's called Celtfather Live. I perform for at least an hour straight from my home to yours. I try to theme episodes so that the first 20-30 minutes are songs around that theme. Then I take your requests. With two full albums of songs inspired by the cult classic TV show, Firefly, it's time to do a show inspired by this beloved show.

“Peggy Gordon” released as a Single

This Friday is the official release of “Peggy Gordon” as a single. The song was originally released on my CD, The Bridge. You probably already own this CD which was released 11 years ago.

So why release it as a single now?

First… because I can. LOL. I was curious if it was possible to release a song that was previously released on an album. Apparently, so. Though sadly, it doesn't get as much promotional push as I could with a new, unreleased single.

Second, because it deserves it. I LOVE this recording. As far as performances go, this still ranks up there with one of my best recorded songs. It was recorded, mixed and mastered by Rich Brotherton and includes his stunning guitar work. It also features some, excuse the self-flattery, gorgeous vocal work by me. I feel like it was inspired.

You see, I met my future wife just a couple weeks before I recorded this song. She was living in Virginia at the time. Rich coaxed the vocals out of me. And I… well, I thought of my love for Gwen as I recorded the song. It still feels like a stunning, touching performance.
