PUB CHAT

Linda Morris emailed a photo: “Thank you for making me smile!”

What is your creative pleasure?

Carol Baril responded on Facebook: “Been working on stories for children. Maybe become an author when I retire from my day job!”

Karen Mitchell Carothers said, “Hrm. Well, I enjoy turning yarn into functional items. I'm also doing FAWM this year as a completely novice songwriter and kinda digging that so far. Though I'm only attempting lyrics right now.”

What’s your favorite Scottish song?

Marcia Claesson emailed: “I love Scottish music.  It's hard to pick one. I suppose if we're talking traditional Scottish ballads, I would say “Skye Boat Song.”  So if I only have one vote, that would be it. However, if we're talking instrumental, I would say “Niel Gow's Lament on the Death of His Second Wife.” And modern songs?  Nothing beats Dougie MacLean's “Caledonia.” Thanks so much for your music. I hope you come to Lincoln, Nebraska (or somewhere close) sometime.”

Allan Marcotte emailed: “Favorite Scottish song?  Either “Sound the Pibroch” or “Welcome Royal Charlie”.  What can I say I am a hopeless romantic, there is nothing better than standing with and fighting for a lost cause against impossible odds.”

Garrett Crowe emailed a photo: “Marc, I'm going through unemployment now, which means lots of tedious work I'm not very good at while job hunting… and trying to keep my spirits up. Nothing does it better than my Dungeons and Dragons sessions and listening to the Irish and Celtic Music Podcast. This is a picture of me listening to the Top 20 while painting miniatures for a future Dungeons and Dragons game. I told you at GenCon last year your music gets me through tough times. You continue to aid me through the darkness. Thank you for all you do. Slainte”
