Unconventional Holiday Shopping: 50% Off Music and More!

Tired of the Black Friday chaos? Discover a unique holiday sale in this newsletter, featuring a 50% discount on CDs, musical pins, and more in the store on Bandcamp. Plus, receive download cards to share the gift of music with friends.

I hate waiting to last minute to buy gifts for the holidays. If I’m really on top of things, I start shopping during my Celtic Invasion Vacations. If not, November is when I start thinking about it.

However, I also loathe Black Friday. I don’t like crowds. I don’t like fighting over “things”.

So I’m doing something different this year. I am holding my biggest sale in my store on Bandcamp. You can save 50% off everything in my store!

All of the CDs that I still have…you get 50% off.

Plus, I will send you a download card for yourself and a friend. That way, you can give the gift of music for the holidays and still enjoy the music yourself.

Same thing goes for the Musical Pins. You’ll get two download cards. One for you. One for a friend.

You can give any of these items as a gift for the holidays. Whether it’s CDs, Musical Pins, or even the download cards.

The Celtic Earth tote bag is strong and durable as well as beautiful to carry your groceries. It’s a great way to promote the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast. But the $30 tote is now just $15 with the coupon code.

I have a whole bunch of T-shirts for the podcast, as well as for my music.

Finally, I have several different bundles to choose from.

And yes… You will still get download cards to share the music with other people.

TRAVEL

Bridget O'Malley's Tower on Clare Island, Ireland, stands as a captivating historical landmark. This stone tower, dating back to the 16th century, offers a glimpse into the island's rich past. It was once part of a defensive network along the western coast, guarding against potential invasions. The tower's strategic location, with panoramic views of the surrounding seas, allowed for early warnings and protection. Its resilience throughout the centuries is a testament to its construction. Today, it serves as a picturesque testament to Ireland's heritage, attracting visitors who appreciate its historical significance and stunning coastal views. I loved visiting Clare Island on this year’s Celtic Invasion Vacations. I even sat down and recorded a song which Patrons can watch.

MUSIC

The Saw Doctors is a group of songwriting musicians from the West of Ireland, hell-bent on celebrating, observing, recording and sometimes poking fun at their own locality, accent and idiomatic use of language whilst dressing their songs up in their favorite sounds and styles from their years of musical fandom. In their own words…..

‘Born into a repressed, catholic, conservative, small-town, agrarian, angst-ridden and showband infested society we’re trying to preserve the positive elements of our background and marry them to the sounds which have culturally invaded our milieu through TV, radio, 45’s, fast food restaurants, 24 hour petrol stations and electric blankets’

LEARN

I love fresh foods, but one of the challenges to buying fresh foods is that the food goes bad over time. Project Drawdown, a non-profit organization, suggests that if global food waste is reduced by 50% by 2050, the amount of carbon dioxide that would not be emitted is the “equivalent to taking 2,570 coal-fired power plants offline”.

I've slowly been learning how to rescue fruits and vegetables so that we don't have to throw food away. For instance, I put fruit that is starting to get old into bags in the freezer. We make smoothies with those. They are delicious! Here's a website with a recipe section to avoid the food ending up in the garbage. What are you doing to avoid food waste?

BONUS FOR PAYING SUBSCRIBERS:

Members of the Gunn Runners Club on Patreon get even more. I mailed a physical Broadsheet to every patron last week. It’s only going to Heroes+ next month.
