We Broke $1000!

We're finally getting a wee bit o'momentum. The fundraising for Not Every Day Is St. Patrick's Day broke $1200 when I logged on this morning. (that's $800 with the old campaign and $400 that's listed with the new) That puts us over 1/4 the way to the finish line.

I want to THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for supporting this album!

I do have the best friends in the world. For seven years, my dreams have been a reality thanks to your generosity, be it through donating to my projects, buying CDs, traveling the world with me or coming to see me perform.

Today, one of my invaders and the photographer of the CD cover, Anna Cylkowski, even made a contribution to the project. It continually blows me away and humbles me, the number of people who are so kind by supporting music.

Few things in this world do so much for people, like music. I think of the peace and joy I get while listening to my favorite songs. It makes a lot of sense. When I was a kid, I dreamed of being Elvis Presley and being a musician.  never would've imagined it happening the way it has.

SO THANK YOU!

Marc

Work Day

Today is a work day. I have a ton of things on my schedule, including making decisions about which t-shirts to print for conventions. I have a little bit o'recording to do. There's booking that needs attending. And it seems I haven't published this month's Song Henge. Thanks Jan for reminding me! It's a full day ahead.

Special Promotion Coming Soon: Get a Free Exclusive Hobbit Single

I also have a wee bit o'planning for the hobbit CD. The movie comes out in December. I want to do another Chartbombing event where we push a single up to the top of the charts. I hope to do this in September. That is the ultimate reason that I polled you asking what your favorite song is on Don't Go Drinking With Hobbits (if you haven't voted yet, click here, last chance).

Coming very soon…
I'm gonna ask you to buy one track from the album.
We're push it to the top of the charts.

I realize you probably already own the album. If you do and you enjoy it, then you're in for a special treat. Because I have a new single.

You see, a couple months back Nancy Flynn, one of the invaders of ALEP 2, wrote a hobbit filk and sent it to me. It is based on the song “The Orange and The Green“, called “The Smial or The Tree”. It's about the narrator who was born of hobbit male and an elfmaid and wonders which life to live. It's just as fun and funny as the original song.

I'm gonna give it to you as a free gift for helping me promote this single. If you're interested then make sure you join my street team at reverbnation. You may already be on my mailing list, but unless you specifically asked to join the street team too, you may not be on it. You'll know in a couple hours when I send this message to my street team.

More details will come over the next month as I define the goal. So stay tuned.

That's all the news for now. Stay tuned for more. And again, thank you for supporting my music.

Slainte!
Marc Gunn, The Celtfather
