I went on FaceTime live this morning. It reminded me how much I miss Coffee with The Celtfather. But it also reminded me how difficult it is to put on a great show. This was not a great show.
Now I went on anyway because we are just five days away from the end of the Kickstarter for “I Will Not Sing Along”. I told myself I’d go on this week. And time is getting away from me.
And so I went live. But I wasn’t in the best place.
Normally, I plan the songs I want to sing. I think about what I’m gonna say. I even script a little bit of the talk so that I don’t do what I did this morning…fumble over my words.
But boy did I fumble!
I don’t even know if I conveyed my message.
Oh well. I guess I can do it in a blog, where I can think and edit. I miss blogging. But it is time consuming.
That’s the joy and tragedy of live. Especially live streaming video. You have to plan… and practice.
WHAT DID YOU MISS?
There were two messages I had in my live video.
First, the Kickstarter has five days left. Please support the campaign. Share it with a former Bards fan or a Renaissance festival fan. That will help me get the word out.
Second, Coffee with The Celtfather is coming back!
I’ve lost track, but I think this is Season 4 of Coffee with The Celtfather. The show launches on Wednesday, August 7 at 10 am EST.
Where?
That’s a good question. I’ll be honest. I’ve been a bit disappointed with the YouTube traffic. It just hasn’t grown.
Nevertheless, I hope to release Coffee live across several platforms using a website I found. But I don’t think I’ll do that the first week. I want to get the performance and show back down. So I’m gonna kick it off on my Facebook page.
After I get that rolling, I’ll see about cross-releasing it at the same time on Facebook, YouTube, and maybe more. For now, just plan on Wednesday, August 7th on Facebook.
We are just three weeks away from Gen Con.
Are you gonna join me out there?
And if you’re wondering where I’m gonna perform in Atlanta. The plan is to start looking for venues in August. So stay tuned.
Thank you as always for listening and watching my rambles. Slainte!
