Background

In 2018, Mikey Mason and I finally decided to try a Firefly Drinking Songs tour. We didn't have many shows planned on Christmas. So we created the Blue Holiday Tour Spectacular. We also felt we needed a new product to sell to make the tour financially viable. That meant we had to write songs. And what are the easiest songs to write? Parodies.

I had largely written the chorus. Mikey came along and wrote verses for “Hero of Canton” inspired by our love of holiday Christmas shows like “Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town” and “The Grinch”.
