Irish drinking songs and science fiction. Nowhere else but from the bizarre imagination of Marc Gunn would those elements be so neatly integrated. It’s like a satirical jam session between The Clancy Brothers and Weird Al Yankovic.

Marc's Musings

Gunns & Drums had a spectacular ending at the Louisiana Renaissance Festival. Our final show was on Sunday. We had a small but wildly enthusiastic audience. They sang. They clapped. They even danced to some of our swinging songs. This was a great experience. We hope to replicate our performance at Sherwood Forest Faire in February. I'll have details about that soon, as well as our CD release at The Irish House in January. Keep an eye on my blog too.

I just realized I haven't done any promotion for my next album. Scottish Songs of Drinking & Rebellion officially goes on THIS SATURDAY! The physical CD will be on sale this weekend, and of course you can still pre-order the album on iTunes. With any luck, it'll make a HUGE showing on the charts there. Unfortunately, I haven't done hardly any promotion for the CD.

For that reason, I decided to run another Top the Charts event in January for the Scottish CD. This time, we're gonna focus on Amazon. I'm curious to see if we can push it higher up the charts if we focus on just one service. We will find out then. If you're not a part of my street team, make sure you update your membership. That's where we will go to focus on the promotion of the Top the Charts event.

Finally, I want to thank everyone who helped make the Celtic Christmas chart-topping event a HUGE success. We landed several prominent rankings on iTunes and Amazon. Read all about our success, right here.
