Marc's Musings

Hey

We just came back from a wonderful weekend in New Orleans. Not only did we get to spend time with a few wonderful friends, but I also had a gig at The Irish House. There was a good turnout of people. I sang a few songs with my friend Jamie Haeuser, and there was a fun twist at the end of the night. You can hear all about it in the latest Celtic Geek podcast.

There were a few folks from the Louisiana Renaissance Festival who showed up. I am happy to announce that I was invited to perform for the full-run of the festival this year. So look for me starting in November.

July 8th marked the nine year anniversary of my life as a full-time musician. It's funny how time flies, huh?

I remembered the anniversary late in the day. Fortunately, I planned ahead by releasing "Doctor of Gallifrey" as a free MP3 download through The FuMP. You will find the song on my album Sci Fi Drining Songs when it is officially released in September.

Tour to Maryland in October, Want to Host a House Concert?

I just confirmed two performances in October. The first is Friday, October 10th in Maryland. The second is Saturday, October 11th in Reston, Virginia. I have no other details than that at present.

It would be ideal if I was able to drive up to the Maryland/Virginia gigs and maybe do a house concert on the way. But I don't know if that will be possible. I need your help.

If you can get even 10 people into your home, then this applies to you.

Do you live in eastern Tennesee, Southern Virginia, or North Carolina. Some places like Chattanooga, Knoxville, Roanoke, Charlotte, Richmond or even Athens, Georgia? Would you like to host a house concert on a Thursday or possibly a Monday evening?

I would love to do a house concert in your area. Please contact me. Lets see if we can turn this into one awesome tour.

Thank you for being awesome!
