I took a break from Scottish Songs of Drinking & Rebellion for the past few days. I'm still waiting on parts for two songs. While I was waiting, I finally jumped back onto my Kickstarter for Keep the Celtic in Christmas, a compilation CD I started last year for the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast (BTW, new show came out on Monday).

Yesterday, I got the final approvals from all of the artists. I created a setlist. I got the final WAV files from all but two artists. Then I submitted the entire project to Kickstarter last night when I finished the video. I can't believe it took so little time! Isn't it funny how things get procrastinated to a standstill? And by funny, I mean NOT!

This morning, driving back from Kenzie's daycare, I turned the Scottish CD back on. Holy Crap! It's sounding awesome!

Last week, I made some disappointed comment to Gwen about, “Oh, it's okay… I don't play any of these songs… blah blah blah.” The next day, I turned on the music and realized over half the songs are in my regular repertoire.

Better than that though is the music. Damn! Nathan Deese and Daniel Briggs (and his fellow musicians Jon and Jody Richardson) did an incredible job adding instrumentation. All I can say is WOW! The album sounds awesome.

In fact, I kinda think it's sounding a ton better than Not Every Day Is St. Patrick's Day, and I was extremely proud of that CD. I am PSYCHED! Can't wait to finish it up!

Now I just need a complimentary album cover. Hmmmm…

Anyone have any good pictures of me in a kilt?

Preferably with short hair? Hmmmm. I think I should wear my kilt this weekend at The Irish House.
