Hard to believe we are nearly at the end of the year. I'm not quite ready for the holidays. But at least I can go forward knowing that my next album I'm making with Sam Gillogly was fully funded.
DANCING WITH HOBBITS FULLY FUNDED
Dancing With Hobbits hit its goal a few days before the campaign closed. We raised over $7000 which just blows my mind. I did not expect it to get any where near that high.
What helped get us to the finish line?
Email.
This is why I always ask people to sign up to my mailing list. It is my life saver. It's where fans go to get news and info. And when I have a big project like this that needs funding, you make it happen all thanks to email.
I feel like I sent out way too many emails over the past two weeks of the campaign.
Well… I thought it was way too many. It turns out it wasn't. That blew me away as well as you'll see in my stats. Even though I sent even more emails during that period, I still gained subscribers. How does that happen!?
It's a marketing lesson, to be sure.
I do not plan to increase my emails to you every week. But when the time is right, when I have a big project to promote, that's the perfect time to send emails. And it works.
Thanks again to everyone who supported Dancing With Hobbits. I'm working diligently to fulfill the orders while I finish printing everything. Thank you!
NERDY WONDERLAND THIS SUNDAY
Nerdy Wonderland is happening this Sunday. I'm unsure what to expect. Over 1800 people have expressed interest in a holiday market of geeky and nerdy things. We have a bunch of vendors. We're more or less ready to go.
I'm unsure what to expect. Will we have 20 people or a thousand who visit our little vendor hall at The Lost Druid Brewery? I don't know. I've never made an event that has had so much interest. I hope we did an okay promoting.
I wish Amanda and I had more people to help out. But that's the way of such events I guess. I just hope that Amanda has a killer day of sales on Sunday. Because she's done a LOT of work on this event. And she and her art are awesome.
Check out Carmanda Art Things at Nerdy Wonderland on Sunday, Dec 3, 2023 from 12-5 PM.

If you're looking for Celtic Christmas Music, the podcast is in full swing. I even got one new patron this year.
The show is going great. I have two interviews coming in the next two weeks. I'm recording a third this week. It's gonna make the whole week kinda crazy. But I'm so happy I can help these bands.
Go listen to the latest show and subscribe so you don't miss my interview with The Celtic Kitchen Party on the next show.

GUNN RUNNERS CLUB ON PATREON
Support what you love.
That's what Patreon is all about. It's a simple way to join a fan club or just support your favorite musician on a monthly basis so that we can keep making a living with our music.
I'll be quite honest. I don't know I have 155 people who support my music. It's weird. It's progressive and new. It's different from mainstream music. It's different from the music you've listened to all of your life. And yet, so many people still listen to it. Some are even hardcore Gunn Runners.
My Gunn Runners pledge at least $5 per month, sometimes more (sometimes less) to just support me as a musician. It's incredible. I am ever grateful even if I don't feel like I deserve it.
I am truly blessed. Thank you Gunn Runners!
