Celtfather Monthly May 2023

I had a wonderful time at my Earth Day Biking Concert. I packed my panniers with my wireless headset and pickup. I had a small handful of CDs. I brought necklaces and a display to hopefully sell something. They all fit in fine with room to spare. I wore my autoharp on my back. My friend had my PA in a giant backpack.

The weather was perfect. My friend and I biked over there in a smooth 25 minutes. It was a fairly easy ride even tho we were weighted down a little more than usual.

There were a lot of people at The Lost Druid Brewery when we arrived. They were having a great day. Many stuck around through the first couple sets of my show. I had a nice handful of folks show up for my set.

My friend and I grabbed a drink and cooled down before I setup for the show.

The show was fun and interactive. There were a lot of people in the audience who had never heard me before. The energy and smiles were great.

Overall, I'm thrilled how well this turned out. I definitely need to do this again in the future.

Yeah, I need to work the publicity angle more than I did this time. But it was a heckuva lot of fun!

PATREON – SUPPORT WHAT YOU LOVE

Because it could go away at any time.

There are so many people who tell me how much my music means to them. But I could not create and share the music I make without the generosity of people just like you.

The modern music business is based on kindness and generosity. Sometimes that's from people buying CDs (Let me hear ye…) or Album Pins. Sometimes it's from buying a Celtic Heartstring which helps pay for the incredible number of strings I break on my autoharp.

One of the absolute best ways to support my music is through patronage.

I started my Patreon page in 2014. Patreon has allowed me to keep making a mild living because you're paying me a mere $5 per month just to keep doing what I do.

Of course, what I offer is a lot. Every month, I release podcasts. I share new music and videos. I have so many stories from the road. I play a weekly video concert.

It is all through your generosity. So thank you for being a Patron of mine.

SPEAKING OF PATREON

Andrew and I are making a big change to the Brobdingnagian Bards Patreon page (find Andrew's here). We're starting to phase it out and discontinue it in the future.

The hope is that some of the Nagians will become our Patrons as well. Then we don't have to manage multiple Patreon pages, which is mentally taxing and should mean more for you.

Thanks as always for supporting my music. Streaming music gives you a quick and easy way to sample all of my music. Digital sales keep my business running. Tips and CD sales allow me to tour. Kickstarter funds physical products like CDs, shirts, pin and other merch. And Patreon funds my songwriting!

Thank you for supporting Sci F'Irish music!
