October was a good month. Aside from the cool weather, I had some great shows. I successfully planned the launch of the Celtic Christmas Music podcast. I had a really successful sale. I created a broadsheet to share lyrics and news with patrons. I started planning the Nerdy Wonderland event in December. I released a new Musical Pin. I successfully promoted the podcast at IrishFest. And today I launched the Kickstarter for Dancing With Hobbits.

CELTIC CHRISTMAS MUSIC

This is the new name of the podcast I've hosted since 2009. I recorded the first episode in October and released it on Sunday. It featured over 30 minutes of Celtic Christmas music with minimal talking.

I was inspired by a couple interviews I did with the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast for IrishFest Atlanta. I decided to do a couple interviews for Celtic Christmas Music. The first will come out at the end of the month. That'll be with The Celtic Kitchen Party. The next will be for The Gothard Sisters new album. I highly recommend both albums.

MUSICAL PIN – TAKE MY LOVE

I love this musical pin. It's inspired by the theme song for the TV show, Firefly. The other text says “Take My Love”. The inner text reads, “Serenity” in Chinese. Then we added some Celtic knotwork to give it that Celtic touch that I love to add to all of my projects. Get your pin now.

CELTIC PODCAST AT IRISHFEST

I gave away dozens of stickers at IrishFest Atlanta last weekend. I didn't have a show, but I also had some CDs and merch available. It went as well as a typical day at most of my conventions. This was a test for me. I'd love to attend more Celtic festivals even if I'm not playing at them. So it was good to see that I could still make money at this one.

DANCING WITH HOBBITS

This is the brand new album by Sam Gillogly and myself. It all started based on a conversation Sam and I had back in 2011 when the Sam first joined me at ALEP, the hobbit gathering I attend every three years. You can read about it here.

We are planning a 10-track album of Celtic tunes inspired by Hobbits and Lord of the Rings. Hopefully, we can play these dance tunes at ALEP in 2025.
