Nollaig Shona Daoibh! Welcome to the Celtic Christmas Playlist.
I love Christmas music. I also love Celtic music. Seeing those two musical themes merged is something credible to hear… when it's done correctly.
The problem for me is that “Celtic Christmas” is just as much a marketing term as a musical style. So anyone with far too much reverb on their instruments or with a keyboard piano can call their music “Celtic Christmas”.
My goal is to share Christmas music from Celtic musicians to redefine what it means to be Celtic Christmas music.
To that end, I have numerous Celtic Christmas Playlists. I'll share more on my blog in the coming weeks as we approach Christmas. In the meantime, I created this playlist of Christmas Driving Music. It's the type of music you might listen to as you're visiting family or friends. It's upbeat (so you don't fall asleep at the wheel). It's fun. It's packed full of Christmas spirit.
Oh! And one of MY favorite things is that it is packed full of Celtic musicians who I also play on the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast. So I can continue to help the small, independent musicians who are struggling to promote their music all by themselves, without a big record label.
THANK YOU CHRISTMAS PATRONS
