It's with great excitement and nervousness that I announce the Celtic Invasion of Loch Lomond. We are heading back to Scotland on June 4-11, 2022. We are staying 20 minutes from the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond at the Castle Invergare in Helensburgh, Scotland.
There's a lot going on in the world right now. Covid is still raging. So there are a few things you need to know before you sign up.
1. This trip is dependent on us being able to go there. If we have the green light from our governments to enter the UK, then we are going to Scotland.
2. Celtic Invasion Vacations are a family event. We need to take care of each other. So you will need to provide proof of vaccination to join us. I want everyone to be safe.
3. You will need to bring a mask. We may or may not wear them, depending on the situation. But I want to be prepared.
4. The U.K. may require quarantine times or have other limitations for travel. So be aware and plan accordingly.
The total price for the Celtic Invasion of Loch Lomond is $2600. You will need to send a $400 non-refundable deposit per person to secure your spot.
There are caveats for that “non-refundable” deposit. If someone takes your spot, you can get a full refund. If you get sick and are turned away by the airline or the country, I cannot offer a refund. It is too late.
We will also be traveling in a van or two. That means, we will be in close quarters, as usual.
My family will be staying at the castle this year. That includes my 7-year old daughter. There will also be a couple teenagers. If that's a problem, you should not consider not going. If you want to travel with kids, this might be a great year to attend. Talk to me.
That said, my family will NOT be joining our daily travels. They will have their own separate travel plans. But they will be at the castle every morning and evening.
For those who like solid plans, I'm sorry. I won't have anything solid until January. I want to do a boat tour of Loch Lomond and explore the Trossachs. But the details come later. Celtic Invasion Vacations are very flexibility.
On Monday, I will email you this year's application form. It's first come, first served. So you'll need to reply asap with your application. You can send the deposit along later.
Other conditions may apply.
If you ANY questions or concerns, I want to hear them.
I'm not certain how many people will attend this year. I think about 12. Which means there are 4 spots left at present. But that may change.
Thanks again for your patience. I can't wait to see you.
Slainte!
Marc Gunn, The Celtfather
